(L) China - MSN Campaign?

I'm neither pro nor against China, but that's interesting to see such nicks popping up in my contact list, although only 2 of my online contacts "endorse" the "campaign". But it is eye catching enough that I start to ask what is it all about.

Well, most of them just followed as they see others doing so as I asked one of my contact. Apparently, another china colleague of mine didn't find it interesting nor will he join it.

StreetDirectory.com down, sued by SLA

This is the headline of the news: Virtual Map shuts down street directory site after losing suit

Apparently, Virtual Map had continued to use the singapore map which was being licensed by the Singapore Land Authority on its streetdirectory.com. And it seems like it had been down for more than 2 days (up to now it is the 7th day).

It was also mentioned that the singapore version of the streetdirectory.com might just be terminated if it doesn't justify by the shareholders.

Apparently, there was originally the SLA Map at http://www.map.gov.sg/StreetMap/, but unfortunately, it was super slow such that after 10 minutes of loading, it is still not up, but only one blue line shown so far.

So, nothing is free in singapore! I wonder what alternatives that singapore residents can rely on now, google maps maybe!
