Living Under the Cloud - Hiroshima

Flip over the TIME magazine this week, that's the title on the first writting on the bomb that had ended the World War II.

The war finally came to and end when 12 americans on 6th Aug. 1945, boarded the B-29 bomber "Enola Gay" dropped the first and perhaps the last atomic bomb ever drop for such purpose at 8:15am. The bomb which of weight 4 metric tons not only devasted the entire city, its radiation had also brought further harms thru years.

That was about 60 years ago, and since then, as Gerge Orwell wrote two months after the bombing, we've lived in "peace that had no peace", and we lived.

I've some deep though on that sentence, perhaps we may ask, what is REAL PEACE?

A simple dinner with love...

Yum yum... it was hungry!!

I went almost on the dot, but then it was 6:15pm as I've promised my girlfriend to knock off and go home earlier.

Today, we have 2 dishes, one vege plus one egg... and... very little salt. Not that we've no money to buy salt, but rather, after the suspicious incident that her father is having some problem with kidney, salt had became the unlikely ingredients to be in any dishes that she cook.

Well, that's love, for our health.

Thank you to my dear.

Live Webcam!!

That's cool, happen to find this webcam server, as simple as just run and a few click, and I'm online.

WebCam2000 is freely distributed open source software for Windows 95, 98, Me!, NT, 2000, and XP that serves images from any video capture device connected to a computer. WebCam2000 can serve pictures as either JPEG or bitmap (BMP) and can include complete HTTP headers or serve the image "raw". The second case is particularly useful when you want to perform further processing on the image; for example by using WebCam2000 as a back-end to a CGI script. One important thing to note is that the WebCam2000 is for people with a live internet connection only: the current version does not have the ability to dial-up an ISP and FTP upload an image.

And gotcha! you can view me online when I'm available at http://webcam.lovelyhome.org:8080
Hmm.. it is time to plan some CCTV at home.. :-D

After a month...

wow... it has been a month after we've moved in this new unit.
well, things went well, and I'm sitting here with infront of laptop, waiting for my sweet heart to come back from night class.

Finally, I got the chance to online almost everyday, thanks to Starhub introducing FlexiSurf.

While I can't convince two of my housemates to share the cable bill, my Starhub Digital Line offers me free surfing on weekends. Thus, for weekdays, we'll use FlexiSurf which cost S$2.50 per day, with condition of minimum subscription of 3 days. Thus, effectively we are able to cut cost on the cable bill down to s$40/month.

But... the promotion for free surf ends on december. My only hope is that the broadband new players in the local market will start fighting and I'll be the fisherman who get both the clam and bird.
